1. Bronze American Waltz - The Original American Dance
The original social dance which started it all in Europe during the Great Social Enlightenment 200 years ago was the Viennese Waltz, which is now considered an International Dance. The American Waltz is slower (3/4 time versus 6/8 time) and easier to dance than the Viennese Waltz. American Waltz is not only one of the most popular ballroom dances but it is one of the most requested dances because it is simple and easy to learn. Waltz has been popular since it was first danced in Paris during the French Renaissance and is still popular today in Country Music. What would we do without the Waltz! Learn the basic skills to be a good Waltz dancer with proper style, rhythm, lead & follow whether for a night on the town or for your Wedding Dance. Join us for all the fun!

2. Bronze American Fox Trot - The Dance of Style and Grace
This smooth dance has been immortalized by the two famous dancers, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers. The Fox Trot is best represented by the Big Band Era smooth music and ‘torch song’ singers. Classy, stylish, and with lots of great Big Band sounds and rhythms, the Classic Fox Trot is a standard dance in America and the world.

3. Bronze American Tango - The Latin Lovers’ Dance
This is the original classic version from Argentina as imported and standardized by both the British and the Americans in the 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s and popularized in the great movies of that era. It is still as popular as ever, and it is still true— “It takes two to Tango!” You will learn all of the correct patterns, footwork, frame, posture, and drama!!

4. Bronze Argentine Tango - The Authentic Original Tango
The dance of the past for our future! The best choreography and techniques from the Masters of Argentina will be taught. The Argentine Tango dance material is based on the work and style of Daniel Trenner, Orlando Paiva, Osvaldo Zotto, Mora Godoy, Michael Walker and other master teachers. This original dance is unique to the world of Ballroom dancing and is the original Tango dance from Argentina. Bravo!

5. Bronze American Rumba - The Slow Romantic Latin Dance
If you listen to slow romantic Latin tunes like “Girl from Ipanema” or “Smooth Operator,” then this dance is for you! The Rumba is smooth, sexy, stylish, and very easy to learn. It fits all the music from the current nightclub style to the classic Latin styles. Join us for great Romantic Latin Fun!

6. Bronze Bolero - The Smooth & Stylish Latin Dance
The Bolero is the slowest and most stylized Latin dance. It has similar moves and music as the Rumba, only the moves are highly stylized to create a very smooth Latin Dance. If you enjoy dancing the Rumba, then this dance will add a new dimension of Latin sexiness and Latin fun to your dance repertoire. You will truly enjoy dancing the Bolero.

7. Bronze Cha-Cha-Cha - The Classic Latin Fun Dance
This is the medium tempo Latin dance of all your Latin Dances. Cha-Cha-Cha is the tempo between Mambo/Salsa and the slow Latin dance, Rumba. Like its counterpart in America - East Coast Swing - this dance is versatile and fun to dance. Many of today’s contemporary music styles have this Cha-Cha-Cha Rhythm, thus the great popularity of this dance. The Cha-Cha-Cha is definitely a traditional Latin dance and a must dance for any serious Latin dance student. Cha-Cha-Cha is the “Swing Dance” of all Latin Countries! This is the Social Latin dance that has it all: medium to fast tempo, great moves, and fun patterns that are easy to remember. Proper Latin footwork, styles, turns, and rhythms will be emphasized, along with lead and follow techniques! ¡Vamos a bailar el Cha-Cha-Cha!

8. Bronze American Mambo/Salsa - The “Red Hot” Latin Dance
This is the fastest and most challenging Latin Dance. Originally a Jazz based dance, the rhythms can be complicated and fast. This dance is for the intermediate dancer who has accomplished a little more in their dancing, or for those who are ready for a great challenge. Popular because of its flare and sexiness, the Mambo/Salsa has become the classic dance of the new Latin Dancer. “Do you know how to Mambo/Salsa?” …You’d better learn it! The National Dance of many Latin countries, Mambo/Salsa’s fast moves and challenging rhythms create a dance that is sweeping the world as one of the classic dances of the Latin Dancer. Join us as we learn the difference between Salsa & Mambo, while learning proper techniques for turns, lead/follow, and the quick footwork of Mambo/Salsa!

9. Bronze Merengue - The Original Latin Dance
This is the most simple and fun Latin dance in the world. The national dance of Haiti and the Dominican Republic, this dance is a lot of fun for the beginning student. The simple marching rhythm and the basic moves give the new student the fundamentals in their Latin dancing. If you are a newcomer to Latin dancing, then the Merengue should be your first choice. Merengue gives you the best introduction to Latin Dancing!

11. Bronze East Coast Swing - “The All American Dance of Youth!”
This is still the most popular American Dance, whether you call it Swing, Shag, Balboa, Jitterbug, Boogie-Woogie, Jive, Country, or whatever. This is the All American Dance! Slow to fast rhythms with great versatility has made this dance popular around the world. You will learn the various music styles, turns, footwork, lead/follow, plus proper style and form. This dance is the foundation to all the Swing Dances! “So let’s Swing!”

12. Bronze “Jitterbug” or “Boogie Woogie” Swing – “THE ALL AMERICAN DANCE OF YOUTH!”
The “Jitterbug Swing,” Boogie-Woogie, and Jive all represent the very popular Single Rhythm Swing, which is the fastest and most challenging of all the East Coast Swing Dances. This dance is ususally taught in a separate workshop. “So let’s Boogie!”

13. Bronze West Coast Swing or Western Swing -
The California State Dance - The Dance of Swing Rhythms
This dance is the slowest dance of all of the Swing Dances. Classic “Rhythm and Blues” and the slow “Soul Oldies” from the 50’s and 60’s made this the “dance of dancers.” This dance is an intermediate dance which has more sophisticated and stylish patterns with a lot of sensuous moves for the lady, which has kept this dance “alive and well” on the American Social Dance Scenes from the Disco Era to the popular Country Western styles of today. It’s a must dance for the serious social or nightclub dancer. What would we do without this Western Dance? Join us as we learn the similarities to the East Coast Swing along with all of the similar techniques for lead/follow, turns, footwork, and the fun variations! West Coast Swing is for all of the intermediate Swing Dancers who are ready to move into this slower and very rhythmical nightclub dance.

14. Bronze New York Hustle - The Stylish and Original Disco Dance!
This dance came to the West Coast during the Disco Fever of the 70’s. It was taught to Blair D. Wood by Juan Torres, who came from Spanish Harlem during this time to teach this beautiful and stylish fun dance to the dancers of Southern California. The New York Hustle has the sophistication that is pleasing and romantic for both men and women. This is the real Original Disco Dance that captured the hearts of dancers and still does in today’s techno-music. Another dance that is a must for the nightclub and social dancer.

16. Bronze Nightclub Two Step - The Slow Dancers Dance
The Hold’m, Squeeze’m, Love’m, and Please’m Dance
This is the slow dance for the nightclub and social dancer who loves to dance to the romantic love songs from the 50’s to today’s love ballads. A perfect blend of Fox Trot, Rumba, and Hustle, this dance is the favorite dance of the romantic dancer. A must for the lovers and dance couples who like to express their joy in each other on the dance floor. Sophisticated and versatile yet rhythmical and fun, it is the very stylish and graceful dance made popular by the movie “Dirty Dancing.” The perfect slow dancers dance!

17. Nightclub Disco Freestyle Funk - Solo Dancing on the Dance floor
If you have always wanted to be able to dance funky on the dance floor to your favorite dance tunes, whether they are Disco, Pop, Funk, Hip Hop, or Electronica, then this is what you should learn. You will learn choreographed routines to assist your training in the classic moves that started in the Disco Craze and continued with the Hip Hop and Break Dancers of the 90’s. A very fun and energetic dance that will get you “up on the dance floor” to dance all the great funky and fun dance moves of today and yesterday!

18. Bronze Funtango© - An Original “Fun” & "Funky" Dance
FUNTANGO© is a fantastic mix of Funk, Cha-Cha-Cha, and Tango. This dance was created by Blair Wood and his dance coach, Dennis Lyle, in 1992 when the funk rhythm was really HOT! You will find this dance absolutely irresistible, challenging, and a lot of funky fun! You really must check out this original funky and fun Tango dance!

21. Bronze Viennese Waltz – THE ORIGINAL SOCIAL DANCE OF EUROPE
The Viennese Waltz began to appear on the operatic stages in 1787 and sometime in the early 1800’s due to the Austrian composers such as Johann Strauss, Franz Lanner, and many others. This very fast dance became the immortal, controversial, and very popular dance of Europe then, and today is danced all over the world. The very fast 6/8 time makes this dance twice as fast as the American Waltz. The elegance and turns of this dance have a magic to it. Join us as we learn the magic of the Original Social Dance – The Viennese Waltz.
